Off to India

Well, in just two days, I'm off to India and I can hardly wait!
I've been dreaming of this trip for decades...
While I've been to India before, about 6 years ago, I didn't get a chance to see the part of India of which I've dreamt for years.
You see, my grandfather was born in India to missionary doctor parents. My great-grandmother is my personal hero: a female doctor who went to India in 1900 after getting her MD from Johns Hopkins. She stayed and treated the infirm, helped vaccinate millions for small pox and the plague and the such for about 47 years.
On this trip to India, I'll get a chance to spend about 2 weeks tracing her life through India, as well as her husband (my great-grandfather), siblings, missionary parents and grandparents. I even have someone from the mission taking 2 weeks vacation to tour me around the very rural area south of Mumbai.
I will also go and check out a school where I hope to one day work, as it is the same school where many of my ancestors spent their younger years and is in a town where they vacationed. They did offer me a job this year, but I couldn't sell my house with the market the way it is now and I don't think I could afford an Indian salary with a US mortgage...
Even better, my current school is paying for the trip, as I will spend about 2 weeks preparign for a trip to India where I will bring students in 2009 :-)
Of course, I should be spending my time getting my house ready to be gone, but I'm having a hard time getting up the motivation...
Procrastination has been the curse of my life so far...
I'll try to post from India when I hit an internet cafe :-)
